Product Description Redemption, Maine. Never had the name of a town been more apt or mocked a person more.
Aidan Morgan made many mistakes in his young life, but moving to Redemption gave him a chance to wash away his poor choices and repair his relationship with his siblings.
Ethan Ashworth had the blond good looks of a hometown football star, but the picture didn’t match the heart and mind of the young man living inside.
The new kid in town with a history of getting into trouble and an unlikely geek don't often make a match, but a unique friendship forms. With one searing kiss on graduation day, promises of a future are made. One day later Aidan is gone, and Ethan’s heart is left broken.
Redemption, Maine. Never had the name of a town been more apt or mocked a person more … twice.
Thirteen years ago Aidan disappeared in the dead of night, but he is home now. Aidan has come home to take the job of chief of the fire department and to reconnect with his brother and sister. He wants Ethan back too. Unable to forget their kiss, Aidan wants to explain why he went away, and he wants a second chance to win Ethan’s heart.
Too bad for Aidan, Ethan isn’t so quick to forgive and forget. He dealt with a life-changing crisis after Aidan went away. His hurt and anger at how Aidan left him alone has resurfaced, bringing the controlled man back to life. Ethan will listen to Aidan’s reasons for leaving when he’s damn good and ready … and not a minute before.
Redemption, Maine. A place for second chances. Will the town--and Ethan Ashworth--give Aidan Morgan another shot to get it right?

| Customer Reviews: Kinda boring actually. August 15, 2010 aisforawesome (dublin) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read the reviews for this and decided to give it a whirl. By the time I got to chapter six I was forcing myself to continue to read this, hoping it would get better, or maybe pick up the pace. I'm not talking about the characters getting together (or being intimate) I'm talking about how the writing dragged. The plot is extremely predictable (even for a romance.) It's not the worst novel I've ever read, but I don't think it's anywhere near a 5 star novel.
Wonderful characters, good suspense, and tender love August 1, 2010 Robert Carnevali (Trenton, NJ United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Aidan Morgan's family moved him to Redemption, Maine when he was a teenager. Constantly getting into trouble, he was one more incident away from being sent to a juvenile home, and a move to a new town is his last chance to get his life together. Since he adores his younger brother and sister, he makes a valiant effort and manages to keep out of trouble. It's in his sophomore year in high school that he's befriended by Ethan Ashworth, who knows what he wants out of life and naturally avoids getting into trouble. Each is hopelessly in love with the other, but keeps it a secret. Until right after their high school graduation. Then, they realize their passion and love for each other and make plans to tour the country together as a couple.
And then Aidan disappears, without a word, for 12 years.
Ethan has tried to move beyond the pain and betrayal. He works as a teacher at the high school, coaches the girls' volleyball team, and is a volunteer fireman. What he cannot handle is finding out that the new Chief of the fire department is Aidan, who wants nothing more than to reclaim Ethan as his love. As much as Ethan is angry at Aidan, he still feels passion for the man, and this dichotomy, along with other events in Ethan's life, may just break him.
Characters are nicely detailed, the plot moves along at a brisk pace, and emotions are raw and, at times, explosive. Pain, love, passion, humor, suspense.... all of it finds a home in this finely-crafted novel by Cameron Dane. It's a novel you don't want to put down once you start reading it. The writing style fully engages the reader, and a lot of empathy is generated for the characters. Secondary characters are also given ample room to develop, and each one is unique and endearing in his or her's own way. Romantic scenes are heartwarming, and scenes of passion are heated.
This is a fine work of erotic romance, and is on par with Ms. Dane's other great novels. It's easily a five-star story.
True love never dies June 2, 2010 Bogey B (Arkansas, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
What an excellent story! I could not put it down and ended up reading it in one sitting. This is the story of two best friends that finally kiss and... on their high school graduation night. However, the next morning, Aidan is gone. Ethan is heartbroken until he finds out that Aidan is returning to their small town thirteen years later and then he becomes angry. I don't blame him. Not a word in thirteen years. The emotions are so real, so true, you will catch yourself believing it's happening as you read. There are a few twists and turns that will catch you by surprise, but the story is just way to good to give away any more details. I do wish that it had been longer and the early relationship had been expanded along with the two families. Still, it was Ms. Danes usual excellent story telling abilities. This one I highly recommend!
